Three High Leverage Activities for Friday

Here it is, Friday. You have a program that you are running and it’s the last day of the week. Friday can be an enormous source of satisfaction. Here are three ways to use it to your advantage:

  1. More time. Knowing that many people choose to telecommute or stay home on Friday, you have a little more time to get things done, tie up loose ends, and prepare for next week.
  2. Strategic reflection. Summarizing the week’s progress provides a valuable source of strategic reflection. Write down your accomplishments or go out for coffee with someone to look back on the developments, accomplishments, and challenges of the last five days.
  3. Set things up for Monday. Put a little thought into what you can do first thing Monday to get off to a great start, and set the stage. Make it easy to kick off a great week.
