How many PowerPoints do you recall when under fire?

I participated in a series of storytelling think tanks in the late 90s. Participants included the International Storytelling Center, Disney, Eastman Chemical, Ernst & Young, World Bank, Hewlett-Packard and a research group run by Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, Project Zero.

David Perkins, a co-director of Project Zero at the time, participated. In a conversation David asked me how many bullet points can someone be expected to remember when they are in a difficult situation? Three, I thought. No, he said, it is one. Think of that next time you are putting your PowerPoint together.
